Recently, we had the pleasure of designing a beautiful, low-maintenance garden for a retired couple, allowing them to fully enjoy their outdoor space without the hassle of constant upkeep.
The couple’s vision was clear: they wanted a garden that was easy to maintain but still offered areas for relaxation and enjoyment. Here’s how we brought their dream to life:
Porcelain Tile Patio:
We began by removing a section of the existing lawn and installing a brand new patio with our favourite porcelain tiles. This durable and elegant choice provides a perfect area for the couple to sit and unwind, enjoying their garden from a comfortable and stylish setting.
Raised Rectangular Lawn:
Understanding their desire for a touch of greenery, we designed a small, rectangular lawn area. This section of grass is not only easy to maintain but also adds a lovely green contrast to the hardscape elements of the garden.
Block Paved Seating Area:
To the rear of the garden, we created a charming seating area using block paving. This space is ideal for enjoying a cup of tea, reading a book, or simply soaking in the tranquility of the surroundings.
Low-Level Plant Bed:
Next to the seating area, we added a low-level plant bed filled with wild and country garden plants. This selection provides a burst of colour and texture, enhancing the garden’s natural beauty while remaining easy to care for.
Corten Steel Planters:
To add structure and year-round interest, we introduced corten steel tall planters filled with evergreen plants. These planters offer a modern touch and ensure the garden remains vibrant and appealing throughout the seasons.
The couple is thrilled with the transformation and has already enjoyed lots of sunny afternoons in their newly designed garden. This project highlights our commitment to creating functional, beautiful spaces tailored to our clients’ lifestyles and preferences.
