The family needed additional indoor space to accommodate their home-based business, opting to move their operations into a custom garden building. Simultaneously, they wanted a picturesque garden to enjoy and look out onto from their new workspace. Here’s how we brought their vision to life:
New Patio with Alfresco Dining Area:
We began by laying a new patio directly from the house, creating an ideal space for an outdoor seating area and dining table. This setup is perfect for family gatherings and alfresco dining, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor living.
Central Garden Design:
To make the most of the remaining garden space, we divided it into two distinct areas. The central section features a striking zigzag turf design, surrounded by gravel. This innovative layout adds visual interest and maximizes the use of available space.
Raised Planters with Lush Greenery:
On either side of the central turf, we installed large raised planters made from stripped railway sleepers. These planters are filled with beautiful green bushes and topiary trees, providing structure and a touch of elegance to the garden.
Concealed Lighting for Evening Use:
To enhance the garden’s functionality, we incorporated concealed lighting throughout the space. This feature allows the family to enjoy evening dining or continue working late into the night from their new garden office.
Preparing for the Garden Office:
Before the office was delivered, we laid a concrete base and installed the necessary electric cables. This ensured the office would be fully operational upon arrival. The garden office is now open for business, offering a serene and inspiring environment with a beautiful garden view.
