This exciting garden design in York has been created with both entertaining and relaxation at its core, giving the whole family a space to enjoy throughout the year.
At the heart of the scheme sits a large oak pergola, positioned at the bottom of the garden to create a dedicated entertaining zone. Beneath it, we’ve designed a fully functional outdoor kitchen and dining area—perfect for hosting friends and family in a sheltered, stylish setting.
Beyond this, the garden transitions into a more tranquil space. A bespoke spa area will feature a sauna, outdoor shower, and a sunbathing deck, offering a private retreat to unwind and relax.
To soften the structure and bring a natural feel to the garden, we’ve incorporated a mix of open lawn areas and longer meadow-style grasses, encouraging wildflowers and seasonal movement. These are complemented by large statement planters and carefully selected trees, adding height, structure, and year-round interest.
For the children, a dedicated timber climbing area with safety flooring ensures there’s a fun and secure space to play—making this a garden that truly works for the whole family.
