Recently, we had the honor of collaborating with the RHS and the Children’s Capital of Culture in Rotherham to bring the vibrant Teenage Dirt Park garden to life at RHS Wentworth.
Designed specifically for teenagers, the Teenage Dirt Park is more than just a garden, it’s a dynamic community space where young people can connect, create, and unwind. At its heart stands a striking central structure inviting social interaction, music vibes, and endless TikTok moments. Thrill-seekers can test their skills on the dirt track featuring rollers, jumps, and berm turns, while vibrant graffiti seating adds an urban touch.
Surrounded by resilient meadow planting, the design blends culture, nature, and self-expression into a cohesive whole. The planting scheme is both functional and low-maintenance, incorporating bold, contrasting colours inspired by the favorite tones of Rotherham’s youth.
This project was a testament to our team’s dedication and expertise, completed under challenging conditions during one of the hottest weeks of the year. The Teenage Dirt Park will find a new home at Bramley Grange School, continuing to inspire young minds through horticulture and creativity, thanks to our collaboration with the local council’s Children’s Capital of Culture initiative.
